Mr. Castillo graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Government in 2010. After graduation, he worked as a government and history teacher in the Rio Grande Valley. Benjamin graduated from South Texas College of Law in Houston in 2013. Additionally, he served as a school board member including board president for the Mercedes Independent School District after being elected at the age of 19 years old.
Mr. Castillo primarily focuses on the representation of governmental entities in the State of Texas. As an attorney at O’Hanlon, Demerath & Castillo, Mr. Castillo has worked on issues ranging from special education, personnel matters, construction, student issues, governance, to litigation that our clients face. Mr Castillo has also assisted districts in conducting tax ratification elections. Mr. Castillo is currently a member of administrative and public law, government law, labor and employment law, and school law sections of the State Bar of Texas.
