Justin Demerath is the managing partner of the firm’s contingent fee litigation department focusing on Syngenta GMO Corn cases, NFL Concussion claims, product liability, personal injury, first party insurance, medical malpractice, pharmaceutical, and medical device litigation.
Justin received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Southern Methodist University. He then went on to obtain his Juris Doctorate degree from Southern Methodist University’s School of Law, and also attended the University of Texas School of Law as a visiting student. During his undergraduate studies, Justin received instruction at University College at Oxford University, Oxford, England. He also studied abroad at the University of Sydney Law Facility in Sydney, Australia.
Justin discovered his passion for the law and the value of a dedicated work ethic at an early age while growing up working in agriculture in Nebraska, where he participated in all aspects of the family corn farming operation each summer with his father, Larry Demerath, who is also an attorney. Justin additionally worked as a law clerk for his father’s law firm while attending Brownell Talbot, a college preparatory high school in Omaha. Justin has spent his legal career lobbying, advocating and litigating on the behalf of people who have suffered damage and has brought accountability upon entities that have caused trauma and loss to others.
As a husband, primary breadwinner, and father of identical twin boys, Justin understands the impact that a life-changing event can have. He handles every case with the same level of compassion and allegiance to the welfare of the plaintiff as he would his own loved ones. Over the many years of his law practice, Justin has proven to his clients, juries, and the defendants he prevails against, that every case will receive his personal attention and his assurance that no stone will be left unturned, no matter how complex the case may be.
Mr. Demerath is the incoming president of his local trial lawyers association and a member of State Bar of Texas, The State Bar of Nebraska, The American Association of Justice (formerly Association of Trial Lawyers of America), Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Nebraska Trial Lawyers Association, Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
