After serving with the military, Ms. Lamas earned a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and Management in 2006 and graduated with honors in 2009 with her Master Degree in Criminal Justice, from Florida Metropolitan University. In 2008, Ms. Lamas attended Boston University’s School of Professional Development, earning her Paralegal Studies Certificate.
Prior to joining O’Hanlon, Demerath & Castillo in 2013, Ms. Lamas, worked with the Department of Navy’s Judge Advocate General Corps and the Special Assistant US Attorney in the Western District of Washington, focusing primarily in Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act requests, criminal prosecution, ethics compliance, and administrative non-judicial hearings.
Ms. Lamas works predominately with the Texas Public Information Act and Open Records/Open Government for O’Hanlon, Demerath & Castillo. Additionally Ms. Lamas assists Senior Associate Darren Gibson and Associate Benjamin Castillo in education law, special education, personnel matters, and other governmental institution in litigation and/or other business disputes.
