Mayor Javier Villalobos

Javier Villalobos began his legal practice in 1995.  For the past 27 years, he has served as general counsel to school districts, municipalities, and other governmental entities.  He has tried more than one hundred jury trials in district, county, municipal, and justice courts.  Before law school, Mr. Villalobos was an auditor for the Texas Railroad Commission where he audited gas companies throughout the state of Texas. Mr. Villalobos commitment to the legal profession has been beyond reproach.  He is often sought after to assist troubled entities in need of stabilization.   He has successfully assisted entities in reducing litigation, stabilizing boards, and redirecting entities into a proper financial path.  Mr. Villalobos public and community service is extensive.  He has been appointed by Governor Perry and Governor Abbot to serve the people of Texas in different entities.  He has served as Commissioner for the City of McAllen and is the current Mayor of McAllen about to begin his second term as Mayor.
