Leslie Alvarez

Leslie Alvarez graduated with honors from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2017 with a master’s in public administration and graduated in 2020 with a Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University. Before law school, Leslie was involved with special education advocacy and spent much time advocating for her brother with special needs. During law school, Leslie worked at several legal aid and nonprofit organizations representing families of students with disabilities in special education and transfer of rights matters. She founded a legal clinic at her law school for people with disabilities and their families in 2019. Leslie has received numerous local and national awards for her public interest work. After law school, Leslie was awarded a competitive Equal Justice Works Fellowship, where she continued to represent families of students with disabilities in special education matters. Leslie now serves our firm specializing in special education and student and personnel matters. Leslie is a proud mother, a native of Texas, and fluent in Spanish.
